Prevents the devastating effects of a pressure wave and flame front cause by a dust explosion downstream, from traveling back along the duct system that the damper is fitted to.
- KST value of 250 bar-m/sec or less (dust testing will be required)
- In normal operation mode the damper is held open against gravity by the dust collector downstream suction or by a designed locking pin. In the event of an explosion the damper system will shut due to the back pressure of the explosion pressure wave.
- The isolation valve can be used on the inlet or outlet side of a vessel holding or handling combustible dust.
- NFPA compliant and ATEX certified.
